Yay for Christmas!

Christmas this year was awesome! We had tons of fun and got & gave some cool stuff. Rob got me a new camera and I LOVE it! It's going to take a while to learn all the settings but it already takes great pictures. I can't wait to learn more about it. The girls loved everything they got and it was so fun to watch their faces on Christmas morning.

Christmas Eve was perfect. We started with the Hemsley family nativity extravaganza. Hadliegh was Mary, Rivers was Joseph, Addie was the angel, Ellie, India & Ali were the wisemen and Piper kept trying to kidnap baby Jesus and snuggle him. It was so cute. We had yummy food and had a great time.

Afterwards, the girls and I were able to go to my Grandma and Grandpa Maxwell's to read the Christmas story and sing the hymns that go with it. We have done that every year since I can remember and to this day whenever I read Luke 2 I hear it in my Grandpa's voice. This year he is not doing well and is very weak so my uncle read it for us but in my head it will always be in Grandpa Maxwell's voice. It was wonderful to be with family and it will be a Christmas Eve I will always treasure as I am sure this is my Grandpa's last one. The Spirit was incredible in my grandparent's home that night. Everyone there knew it was a privilege to be there. My Grandma was very emotional and we all hugged each other a little tighter and a little longer that night.  My only regret is not taking pictures with my grandparents and my girls that night. I'm not sure what I was thinking. I hope my girls will remember this special night.

This picture cracks me up every time. I think she looks like some kind of princess hobo.
