The Dark Ages

I've always wondered what it was like to live in the dark ages.

I live in a house without the internet so now I know. Hence the very sparse blog posts.
It kind of sucks but it has some major advantages. It's inconvenient when it's dinner time and I need to look up a recipe. I never realized how much I relied on the internet for just looking up answers to random questions.
I have to come to my parents house to use their internet so my kids and I get regular doses of homemade cookies and brownies and good quality Grandma and Grandpa time which isn't so bad. I think one of the biggest advantages is how much more sleep I get now. I actually read a real book and go to bed when I'm tired instead of reading blog after blog and news story after news story until all hours of the night. I wish we could sign up for the internet for only an hour or two a day. That would be perfect.

I'm still working on before & after pictures of the house but here are a few for you until I get them all done.

You are awesome for going without the internet. We have not had a television for 3 months now. It is pretty rough :) For about 2 weeks we had no TV or internet, my house was so quiet. I am amazed what no television has done for my girls. We still have our lap top so they do watch some netflix now and then, they read more, I read more, they play more, I clean more. It is a good thing. I should get rid of the internet too, if Steve was not in school, maybe. Maybe :) Your house is looking awesome, I so want to see more!
