Ellie the Builder

There are only a handful of days in our household when it's okay to eat candy by the fist full before lunch time (or ever for that matter):

Birthdays
Easter
Christmas
and
Graham Cracker House-Making Day at Grandma Marti's

So you see, this is a super duper special day for our family. I remember building graham cracker houses with my Mom and brothers before Christmas and then begging my Mom every day until Christmas to let us eat the entire village of houses we had built. As if we hadn't eaten enough candy already. Of course we always had to wait until Christmas to eat the houses and by that time the whole village was so stale and hard it was a miracle none of us broke any teeth digging into the candy-laden houses. We didn't care though. They were delicious.

Elliett begs me every day to eat the three houses she made. I think they are too cute to eat. She did a great job. Thanks to my Mom for carrying on this fun tradition!
