So it feels like I just had my first baby last week and I woke up yesterday and suddenly have a kindergartener.
Ellie was so excited to start school. I'm surprised she even slept at all the night before. She seems so grown up with her backpack and her freckles and all that confidence.
When I walked her to her classroom on her first day she of course didn't cry or cling to me like I kind of wished she would have. She sat at a table and played with a box of toys while I filled out a paper for her teacher and Ellie leaned over to me and asked, "Are you ready to leave yet, Mom?" I think I was cramping her style.
I picked her up that afternoon and I asked her how her first day was and she said, "Great! I got to go to the bathroom and get a drink!" It cracks me up what she thinks is awesome. They also sang some songs, played a game and read books so it's good to know kindergarten isn't all about potty breaks.
Piper totally misses her sister when she's at school. When we drop Ellie off, Piper has to have her own "pack-pack" and says, "Pie-po kewl too." Translation: Piper school too. It's so adorable. Ellie teaches Piper what she calls "Baby School" when she gets home from school. Could my kids get any cuter? I think not.

Oh my goodness, how the crud do you have a kindergartner? She is so adorable. I love love love that first picture of her. Love that girl!
Tomorrow is Lucy's first day. It is going to be tough, I have been dreading it for weeks now. it is like I had these five years and I didn't even realize it was going to all change one day and never be the same again. So sad, but I love seeing her experience life, and she is excited.
Wow! They grow up so fast! Peanut won't start until next year but I am sad thinking about it.
By the way, your girls are ADORABLE!
They are too cute! Be glad Ellie wants you to leave...ask Joni sometime how Ava likes school...not good...she is sooooo sad and just wants to stay home with mom...
